Cookie policy

What this site stores in your browser, why, and how to change your mind.

The short version //

This site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, ever. It asks before setting its one analytics cookie, and if you decline, nothing loads — the site works identically either way. A small number of case studies are shared privately with a one-off code; entering it sets a strictly necessary cookie so the page stays unlocked for you, which the law doesn't require asking about — general visitors never see it.

What gets stored //

Your cookie choice
A single entry in your browser's local storage (jvv_consent) remembering whether you accepted or declined analytics, so you aren't asked on every visit. It identifies nothing about you. Kept until you clear it.
Analytics — only with your consent
With your consent, Google Analytics sets cookies (names beginning _ga) to help me understand which pages are read and where visitors come from, with IP anonymisation switched on. If you decline — or simply ignore the banner — Google Analytics never loads and these cookies are never set. Analytics data is not used for advertising.
Confidential case studies
A handful of case studies are shared privately with a one-off access code rather than published openly. Entering the code sets a small cookie (names beginning cs_auth_) so you're not asked for it again on that same page for 30 days. It identifies nothing about you beyond "this one page is unlocked in this browser," and it's only ever set if you follow one of those private links — never for a general visitor. This is a strictly necessary cookie, so — unlike analytics — the law doesn't require asking first.
Booking a call
The booking page checks live calendar availability through this site's own server. It sets no cookies and uses no third-party trackers.

Changing your mind //

You can reset your choice at any time — the banner will ask again on your next page view. Withdrawing consent stops analytics from loading from then on; you can also clear existing cookies in your browser's settings.

Questions about any of this: [email protected]. The privacy policy covers what happens to personal data more broadly.
